We warmly welcome over 50s and value their wisdom, experience and sense of fun. They are actively involved in every area of and mingle with people of all ages. Many join in with country walks, park runs and quiz nights or volunteer for children's holiday clubs.
A slice of life
We meet to make friends over coffee and cake and to enjoy crafts, gardening tips, or tasting our way through a history of chocolate, for example. We've welcomed guest speakers who've worked in the Antarctic, led the council or appeared in Dad's Army. Each month a church member shares a little about their story or faith.
'A slice of life' is for over 50s of all faiths or none, at 10.30am on the second Monday of every month except August. Click here

A weekly lunch with soup, bread and cake and a short Bible thought and time to ask questions or ask for prayer. We meet at 11.45am - 1.15pm most Wednesdays. Click here for details of our next meeting or here for a full calendar of events. Some over 50s like to come earlier for the seat exercise group run by Forever Active in the church hall.
Most church members are linked to a small group for Bible discussion, prayer and support. They meet around the city in church members' homes most Tuesday or Wednesday evenings. There's also a women's group on Thursday mornings and occasional weekend events for men, and a short course for those exploring the Christian faith or who want a refresher on the basics for beginners. if you would like to try a group.
