Our Welcome Team
will offer you a Bible and a seat, and any help you might want. For example we have a hearing loop, large print Bibles and song words and plenty of space for buggies and wheelchairs.
At 10.30am there is a blend of informal and traditional music and prayers with a talk from the Bible about Jesus. We finish at about 11.40pm, but if you can stay a little longer there is tea, coffee, squash and biscuits and the welcome team will introduce you to a few church members.
At 5pm the music is contemporary and the service is informal and relaxed with interviews, video clips or time for questions from the congregation. At the end, there is an opportunity to meet others over pizza or pasties.
Our preachers work through a different part of the Bible each term, with a focus on how Jesus is good news. We aim to show the relevance of the reading for contemporary life. We believe the Holy Spirit speaks to each of us through the Bible. You can see the themes for the next few Sundays on our church calendar
. You can also download the full programme by clicking here for July - August or here for September - December.
At 10.30am we start with all ages together for a short time including a children's talk or song with actions or instruments.
After that the children and youth workers and trained volunteers lead crafts, games and Bible teaching about Jesus. There are four separate groups according to age from 3 up to 14 meeting in separate rooms around the building. Children are welcome to join a different age group with a friend or sibling if that helps them to settle in.
There is also a supervised creche for under 3s, and a sound-proof room where parents can stay with a child of any age, where you can't be heard, but can still see and hear the service.
No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.
Not at all! Every Sunday we have visitors who are interested to see what happens and meet Christians, but who are not regular church goers themselves. We welcome and encourage that. Feel free to join in with as much or as little as feels comfortable for you.
We have more information for you specifically if you…
