Sundays at 9.30am
Families with young children are welcome to join us at 9.30am. We have high chairs, mats, preschool toy boxes and activity bags for children. Each week there is a children's talk, action songs and a craft for the children to make. Older children in school years 3-6 have their own group in the church hall with Bible teaching through games, discussion and challenges.
If you are not able to join us in the church building then you can follow the livestream on the St Matthew's YouTube channel. Families will be sent an email each week with crafts and colouring sheets to download and print out for their children to use.
JAFFA for children in Year 3-6 with crafts, games, and Bible stories meets on Thursdays 6.00-7.00pm, in school term in the main church. (Our youth group for 11-16s meets in the church halls at 7.15pm - 8.15pm.)
Local families like to visit for special occasions and we normally have children's parties at Christmas and Easter, and a Holiday Club in July, advertised through the local school and our personal contacts.
All volunteers working with under 18s or vulnerable adults follow the guidelines in our Safeguarding Policy. Under 3s may be given breadsticks and 3-11s may be given squash and a biscuit. When you come, you will be asked to register your family and let us know about allergies or other health issues.
